Lyndelle (Lyn) Redwood, RN, MSN, CRNP (Retired)

Lyn Redwood’s healthcare journey began in 1974 when she trained as a licensed practical nurse during her senior year of high school. Her first role in a pediatric department at a large teaching hospital ignited her passion for caring for sick and injured children.

Lyn advanced her career to become a registered nurse (RN) and then a family nurse practitioner (FNP) in 1986, which allowed her to provide direct patient care. She has worked in various settings, including private family medicine, OB-GYN practices, emergency rooms, urgent care, and as a healthcare consultant for businesses and hospitals.

In 1999, Lyn’s perspective on conventional healthcare shifted dramatically when she discovered that her children’s health had been adversely affected by medical products she had trusted. This led her to advocate for safer medical practices and research, focusing on the risks of certain medical treatments and pharmaceuticals.

Lyn has testified before Congress, founded multiple non-profits, and consulted for organizations like the NIH and the Department of Defense on autism research. She has published research in several prestigious journals and has been featured in prominent media outlets including Good Morning America, ABC News, and U.S. News and World Report.

After facing her own cancer diagnosis in 2016, Lyn embraced functional medicine and lifestyle changes, including a wholesome diet, adequate sleep, and mindfulness practices. Her career now focuses on uncovering the root causes of health issues rather than just treating symptoms.

Lyn Redwood’s journey reflects a lifelong commitment to improving health and advocating for better practices. Through her tireless efforts in both traditional and functional medicine, Lyn has touched countless lives and continues to inspire with her dedication to uncovering the true sources of wellness.

Her personal experiences and professional achievements underscore a profound understanding of both the challenges and hopes in the pursuit of better health. With warmth and resilience, Lyn remains devoted to fostering a healthier future for all.
